Great brand photography isn’t just about a beautiful space or good light. It’s about knowing what’s missing. I’m Hester Barnes - a Surrey based brand photographer & video content creator with over 10 years behind the camera, having photographed thousands of businesses, brands, and families. I specialise in shooting inside styled homes, using natural light and movement to create images that feel effortless, considered, and very much alive. Whether I’m working alongside a full creative team or stepping in to lead, I’m always paying attention. Noticing where the light drops off. What feels slightly unresolved. What needs refining - even when it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s a small adjustment. Sometimes it’s reworking the frame entirely. That’s where the difference sits. I’m also instinctive with the people in front of the camera. Good at reading the room. I know how to move things past that slightly awkward first few minutes, so everyone relaxes quickly and the images feel natural, not staged. There’s often a lot of planning behind a shoot. On the day, my focus is on bringing it all together - making confident decisions, refining where needed, and capturing the moments that elevate the final result. Because the goal isn’t just beautiful images. It’s images that feel elevated, cohesive, and unmistakably aligned with your brand.
