What about insurance for photoshoots?

All Creators must confirm that they have the required minimum Public Liability insurance of £1,000,000 to book a space via Styled Home Studios. You can obtain short or long term cover, with immediate effect here. Hosts have the right to request proof of insurance so if requested please be ready to provide your certificate of insurance prior to your shoot. We also recommend that new Hosts check their home insurance policies and talk to their insurer to update their policy if necessary.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the event you need to cancel your Booking, you should contact the Host (via the Styled Home Studios messaging platform) with as much notice as possible. The shorter the notice you provide, the lower the refund you will be entitled to, as follows: If you cancel more than 7 days before your booking, you will be refunded the full booking price (less the 8% Service Charge). If you cancel your Booking between 48 hours and 7 days before your Booking, you will be refunded 50% of the booking Charge (less the 8% Service Charge). If you cancel your Booking within 48 hours of the Booking, you forfeit the full Booking Price + 8% service charge. On the rare occasion where a Host must cancel a booking you will not be charged. You will be notified by email and we will endeavor to help you find an alternative location.  For more details please see our cancellation policy.

What happens if there is damage or a dispute about a booking?

We suggest that both parties conduct a final walk-around the property at the end of the shoot to identify any instances of damage that goes beyond reasonable wear and tear. Please keep all written communication on the platform so that Styled Home Studios can offer impartial support if necessary. What does my event booking cover?

To keep things simple all rates for event bookings are for dry hire (the use of the location only). Any additional or external services like catering will need to be discussed with the owner and arranged separately.

How do you process booking payments?

We use Stripe Connect to process all bookings. Stripe is a trusted payment gateway used by companies worldwide and their terms and privacy policy apply.

How is my personal information protected?

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy & Cookie Policy, ensuring that your personal details are secure.

Are there rules around event timing?

Yes, events must take place within the agreed time frame. Overtime is automatically charged at 1.5 x the hourly rate and must be added to your booking before the end of the event.

Do I need insurance to host an event?

Yes, you must provide proof of public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £1,000,000. Bookings may be canceled without a refund if valid insurance documentation is not provided.

Do vendors (e.g caterers) need approval?

Yes, all external vendors must be approved by the property owner and may need to provide permits or insurance documentation.

What is your cancellation policy if my Creator cancels?

Should the Creator cancel their booking more than 7 days before the shoot/event date, you will not receive the Booking Fee. If they cancel the Booking between 48 hours and 7 days before the Booking, you will be receive 50% of the Booking Fee (less the SHS 15% Commission). If they cancel the Booking within 48 hours of the Booking, you will receive the full Booking Fee (less the SHS 15% Commission). On the rare occasion where you must cancel a booking, the Creator will be refunded and you will not receive any of the Booking Fee. Who owns the content of my listing?

You retain ownership of your content, but by listing with us, you grant Styled Home Studios permission to promote your profile across our platform and social media.
