Classic style meets effortless calm in the Sussex Downs
Overlooking vast polo fields, extending into the wild South Downs landscape, this characterful bolthole is a fantastic rural location. Stepping inside, classic style meets effortless calm. Although built in the 1800s, Brambling Lodge has undergone careful restoration – with modern fixtures sitting comfortably alongside historic features. Wide fireplaces, leaded windows and original beams are harmonised with homely touches that make you want to slip off your shoes and relax. Cosy rugs are underfoot in every room, along with a calming palette and soft furnishings in a pleasing mix of patterns, colours and textures. All three bedrooms offer far-reaching views across nearby polo pitches and out into the countryside. Leading to the front porch, there’s a small cottage garden with a pretty brick path. To the rear, you’ll find a large, private garden. Encircled by a rockery, the dining area seats eight al fresco. Beyond this stretches a generous lawn.
