Set against a rural backdrop, this home was once the beating heart of a dairy farm. The gravel driveway is now flanked with lawns, and the original cattle shed is still set to one side of the parking area.
Visitors to the main house are greeted with a pink door underneath a smart, stone porch.
Continuing the theme, inside you will find a panelled, soft pink reception room, with a squashy large sofa, fireplace, and alcoves lined with mural paper. Its neighbouring snug is painted in a deep olive green with complementary wallpaper, matching fireplace, and classic button back sofas. Both rooms have wooden floors, wood burning stoves and window seats, and benefit from warm, morning light streaming through the windows.
Beyond the reception rooms, there is a hallway and utility room with original stone floor, cream cabinetry, green tiles and a Belfast sink - equally handy as a crew kitchen.
The back half of the house is where Cotswold stone becomes a feature in an L-shaped, open plan kitchen and dining space with an elevated ceiling and an oak and glass wall that looks out to the garden and the farm’s storage barn. Wooden cabinetry is painted in stone and finished with white worktops. A large island with a bespoke triple light fitting above is the perfect position for baking and gathering alike. Dried hops are draped across the hob mantel, bringing a sense of softness into the room. The characterful dining table is made from reclaimed wood and teamed with dark wood chairs.
