About
Scandi Appeal - BA14
This shoot location was built in the late 70's on the footprint of the original coach house which served the vicarage but fell into dereliction. It was rebuilt into a home using some reclaimed materials including red brick, roof tiles and beams. It has an abundance of natural light throughout the day thanks to its shallow footprint, making many of the room’s dual aspect. Currently an ongoing project to bring it back to life, the new interiors are calming, simple with a natural feel.
The living room offers large picture windows, limewash walls, a herringbone floor with part of it being a double height space. A mezzanine above is accessible for overhead shoots.
The new kitchen diner has a Scandi feel. The cabinets have a mixture of light oak fronts and cream fronts with a light Dekton worktop. The kitchen island is perfect for flat lays. There is a brick red banquette seat fixed to the back of the island but this can be moved. There are open shelves, green tiles and a very deep green wall colour in areas.
The hallway is also a very bright space with vertical light wood panelling. It has a black aluminium frame door and full height window. The stairs has a pale grey banister with a beige wool runner with charcoal edging. This area gets the most light in the morning.
Externally there is a double garage with black doors and a large driveway suitable for multiple cars. There are different backdrops around the house from the red brick of the house, a stone wall at the bottom of the garden, a lawn, various log piles and a conifer hedge to the front garden. In the summer the front pathway is surrounded by red roses and lavender attracting bees and butterflies. As more rooms get completed and parts of the garden get updated more areas will become available for shoots.
