The Suffolk farm that fashion keeps coming back to

Tucked into the Suffolk-Norfolk border near Halesworth is a 16th-century farmstead with 10 acres of grounds, ancient woodland, wildflower meadows, a covered heated pool, and paddocks full of pygmy goats, Valais Blacknose sheep, alpacas, and Kune Kune pigs. It’s the kind of location that “gives brands a world to step into rather than just a backdrop,” says its Host, Gem Boner – and we could not agree more.

Monsoon chose Paradise Farm for their spring 2026 “A Spring Story” campaign, with British model and singer Pixie Geldof front and centre. Rixo have shot here. Aligne have shot here.

All six spaces on the estate are available to book directly through Styled Home Studios, welcoming photographers, filmmakers, content creators and brands across fashion, beauty, product and lifestyle. Whether you’re planning a shoot day, a product photography session, a brand event, an activation or any kind of creative production, this is a location that will exceed your expectations in every possible way.

Meet your Hosts, Gem and Thom

This luxury farmstead is the vision of husband and wife team, Gem and Thom. Their combined backgrounds in hospitality, PR, events, marketing and fashion gave them a particularly clear sense of what a great creative space should feel like. Gem arrived at the project with a sharp eye, having previously served as Content Director for Soho House, a role that taught her how design-led hospitality looks when it’s done well.

When they found the 16th-century Suffolk farmhouse, a building that had seen cider production and centuries of Suffolk life, they saw a destination rather than a renovation project. Every product, every partnership, every decision about how the spaces look and feel has been considered carefully: not just visually, but in terms of what it communicates and who it’s for.

Gem and Thom live on the estate. That matters. It means the property is maintained with pride rather than managed from a distance, and it means that when you book with them, you’re working with Hosts who care deeply about your shoot going well.

“The vision was never just to create somewhere beautiful to stay,” Gem says. “We wanted it to become a place that people could feel – somewhere with texture, soul, softness and a bit of magic. A space where design, nature and real life could sit together without everything feeling overly polished or staged.”

It’s a sensibility she traces back to her own career.

“Coming from fashion, hospitality and storytelling, we’ve always understood how much environment matters. The right setting can completely change the energy of a shoot.”

And one that informs the partnerships she chooses today.

“Working with Styled Home Studios feels like a really natural fit because you understand that too. It’s not just about finding a pretty location, it’s about creating the right mood, the right narrative, and giving creatives the space to make something that feels considered, characterful and quietly special.”

Six distinct spaces, full run of the estate

One thing worth saying clearly: every booking at Paradise Farm, whichever space you choose, includes full access to the estate’s shared grounds. The covered heated pool with its arched glass enclosure. The working farmyard and its resident animals. The open paddocks, the ancient woodland, the wildflower meadows and manicured lawns. You’re not booking a room with a view. You’re booking the whole farm.

The estate comprises six individually bookable interiors, each with its own character and creative personality.

The Farm House is the historic heart of the estate. A grand three-floor, 16th-century property with five bedrooms, an Aga kitchen, log fires throughout, a 12-seat dining table inside and a 20-seat outdoor stone dining table set against the Suffolk countryside. The scale, the patina, the layered history in every room: this is the space that anchored the Monsoon campaign, and it’s easy to see why.

The Cider Store was the first building on the estate to be transformed, and it set the creative tone for everything that followed. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pygmy goat paddock, a designer kitchen, bespoke sofas, a log burner and a private terrace with a pizza oven. It photographs beautifully from every angle.

The Gatehouse is the most intimate of the spaces. A former stable reimagined as a design-led hideaway with a floor-to-ceiling window framing the alpaca enclosure, a soaring mezzanine, an emperor soaking tub, a wood-fired hot tub, and a private terrace with an outdoor log burner. For beauty, wellness and editorial shoots where atmosphere does most of the work, it’s exceptional.

The Cart Lodge offers the most generous footprint of the cottages. Two bedrooms, a large kitchen island, a log burner and a wide terrace overlooking both the pool and the goat paddock. The terrace connects to the adjacent spaces, making it a natural anchor for larger productions that want to spread across the estate.

The Log Store is a beautifully finished one-bedroom retreat with a Japanese soaking tub, a biofuel fire and a private gated terrace with a Gozney Arc pizza oven. Characterful and self-contained, it works well for smaller productions and editorial teams, or as part of a larger multi-space booking.

The Tack Room carries a gentle nod to its working past. A calming one-bedroom space with a Japanese soaking tub, biofuel fire and private terrace that opens onto the adjacent outdoor areas. Rustic in spirit, refined in finish, and full of the layered texture that translates well on camera.

The Log Store and Tack Room can each be booked independently or alongside other spaces. Their terraces connect to the Cart Lodge outdoor area, creating an expansive shared production zone when larger shoots call for it.

What makes this location exceptional for shoots and brand events

It isn’t just the breadth of backdrops, though that alone is remarkable. From the grand, period interiors of The Farm House to the spa-like intimacy of The Gatehouse. From the covered heated pool with its arched glass canopy to the wildflower meadows, ancient woodland and paddocks full of animals that couldn’t be more photogenic if they tried. A single day at Paradise Farm can yield an unusual variety of looks, and your kit barely needs to move.

What sets this apart is the level of support Gem and Thom can bring to every production. They are able to talk through your vision to help guide you on what’s possible on the estate. They can also support with organising:

  • Shoot catering at every level, from simple on-set lunches to fully styled VIP food and drink experiences
  • Prop sourcing. Through their creative network, the team can source vintage furniture, artwork, fabrics, recovered upholstery and bespoke pieces to brief
  • Styling and on-estate videography on request, so creative teams can build a multi-disciplinary shoot day from one location
  • Background support and shoot assistants on-site throughout the day, so your crew can focus on the work
  • Overnight accommodation for the whole team. Across all six spaces, the estate can house a significant production, talent included, making it a strong base for multi-day campaigns

For Gem, the magic of hosting comes from the moments that no brief can quite plan for.

“What I love most about hosting shoots here is watching people arrive with one idea, and then seeing the farm gently take over,” she says. “There’s always a corner someone spots, or a shaft of light, or an animal wandering past at exactly the right moment, and suddenly the whole brief starts to feel more alive.”

She’s drawn most to productions that lean into the place itself.

“The most rewarding productions are the ones that really lean into the setting – fashion, interiors, lifestyle, food, wellness, anything where the story needs to feel grounded but still elevated. Paradise Farm isn’t a blank white box, and that’s the joy of it. It has layers: the old farmhouse, the barns, the animals, the gardens, the pool, the textures, the slightly wild Suffolk sky.”

What tends to surprise new productions, she finds, is the variety of looks available in one place.

“I think what surprises brands most is how much variety there is in one place. You can shoot something polished and editorial, then move five minutes across the farm and create something much more rustic, playful or atmospheric. It gives creative teams so much to work with, without having to jump between locations all day.”

And then there’s the practical side, which she sees as part of the job.

“We really do try to make everyone’s job as easy as possible. We can help with everything from catering and prop hire to styling and even videography, so the team can focus on the creative while we quietly work away in the background making sure everything they need is taken care of. It saves time, energy and budget – which on a shoot day is everything.”

And Paradise Farm isn’t just for shoot days. Brand activations, press launches, influencer events, workshops, intimate brand dinners and small retreats all sit naturally on the estate. The 12-seat indoor dining table, the 20-seat outdoor stone table, the run of the grounds and the overnight accommodation across all six spaces give brands plenty of room to design an event around the place. And the production support Gem and Thom offer for shoots applies just as readily to events, from catering and styling to on-site staffing throughout the day.

Like shoot bookings, brand activations and events at Paradise Farm can be enquired about and booked directly through Styled Home Studios.
