Hi, I’m Jodie - the owner of Blue Gate House. Nearly four years ago, my husband Luke and I designed and built our home from the ground up as a self-build project. What started as a vision on paper has grown into a characterful, light-filled space that blends traditional materials with modern craftsmanship - and it’s still evolving in the best possible way. As a photographer myself, I naturally see our home through a creative lens. I understand how light moves through a room, how textures translate on camera, and how small shifts in styling can completely transform a frame. Blue Gate House has been used for multiple shoots over the years, so I know firsthand how beautifully the spaces work for content creation, brand photography and lifestyle campaigns. Hosting feels like a natural extension of what I already love - welcoming creatives into a relaxed, thoughtfully designed environment where ideas can flow easily. I’m always happy to collaborate, move furniture, tweak styling or simply leave you to create. And if helpful, I’m also available to discuss photographing, filming or capturing the day for you - whether that’s behind-the-scenes content, brand imagery or documenting your shoot in action.
