Located on the edge of a picturesque village, but well connected to London by road and rail just 5 minutes from town amenities, our light filled home overlooks fields on two sides and benefits from high ceilings and large sash windows throughout.
The main attraction is the large, double volume central space with galleried landing. There is also a spacious farmhouse kitchen, good size living room, bedrooms and family bathroom – all benefitting from large windows. The house does have plenty of vintage and Africa related memorabilia and paintings to help with styling but everything is moveable so the spaces are flexible (even the kitchen island can be shifted!). There is dark wood flooring in the main space and terracotta tiles in the kitchen. The kitchen island features a stone top with embedded fossils. The kitchen dresser has a white marble top (additional white marble slab available).
The sunsets are a high point and often bathe the house in dramatic evening light. There is a very large horse chestnut tree behind the house and beyond that, a large, elevated paddock which can be used for shoots as well.
The house has private, off street parking at the end of a ‘no through road’ lane, so it is incredibly quiet. There are farm units a few hundred yards up the lane which could be used for additional parking if needed.
